In Ancient Egypt, the scarab was seen as a symbol of this heavenly cycle and of the idea of rebirth or regeneration. The Egyptian god Khepri, Ra as the rising sun, was often depicted as a scarab beetle or as a scarab beetle-headed man.

This is a beautiful Art Nouveau inspired Egyptian Revival winged scarab necklace with beautiful rainbow enamel hues. We guarantee compliments when you wear this unique piece!

We are unsure of the age of this design but believe it to be pre 1970.

The hallmarks are indistinct but the necklace has been tested for silver and you can see where this has been done on the reverse.

The total length of the necklace including the drop is 20", Total length of the chain is 14" plus a 2" extension equalling 16"

The largest scarab measures just under 2" in width and 1" in width with the smaller scarabs.
