Antique 1930's Spanish Damascene Necklace

£35
This is an exquisitely intricate antique necklace from the 1930's period. The necklace features a technique called Damascening which is the art of inlaying different metals into one another—typically, gold or silver into a darkly oxidized steel background—to produce intricate patterns.

We believe this piece to be originally spanish as Damascene work is native to Toledo in Spain.

This design features a central coral cabochon with two paste stones at the top and bottom of the design.

The piece measures just over 2" in height and 1" in width. Original 20" chain. Made from brass.

Will arrive gift boxed.
