Antique 1930's Sterling Silver Enamel Soaring Bird Brooch

£30
This is a beautiful antique depiction of either a Bluebird or Swallow.

Whilst the designs shape doesn't look particularly emblematic of either of these birds, they were popular depictions at the time and the colourways are very similar to these two breeds.

The swallow was a World War One symbol meaning 'I will return' often used in Sweetheart jewellery.
This design dates back to the 1930's Art Deco era and is cast in sterling silver with enamel work in green, blue, brown and yellow.

The brooch measures 3cm in length and has a working C clasp. The brooch is hallmarked on the reverse for silver.

Will arrive gift boxed.
